National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC): Weekly Build Back Better Implementation Meeting
Weekly Build Back Better Implementation Meeting: Every Wednesday at 1-2pm Eastern. If, fingers crossed, BBB makes it across the finish line there will be substantial funding that can be used to support Opportunity Youth. Passing will be just the first step in our work. We then have to make sure it gets implemented in ways that serve Opportunity Youth well. So far, our discussions have focused on implementation of the Civilian Climate Corps in ways that ensure a significant portion of corps-members are Opportunity Youth, but over time we will cover implementation of other aspects of the bill as well, such as funding that goes to the Department of Labor for job training programs for youth.
