Want to learn how to share your story to advocate for change? Interested in building your confidence in public speaking?
Speaker’s Bureau training is was designed by young people, with their own experiences in the foster care system, with an interest in public speaking and utilizing their own stories and lived experience to advocate for systems change.
Young people that participate in this training will have an understanding of public speaking basics - including strategies for answering questions, avoiding unsafe questions, and staying on topic of the message. Young people will also develop strategies for sharing their own experience and hopes for the future of Nebraska’s older youth system and will have hands-on practice delivering their intended message.
Speaker’s Bureau trainings are offered locally in communities or organizations as well as statewide.
